Summary, etc. Estudio de caso realizado en la comunidad mbya guaraní Alecrín (Provincia de Misiones, Argentina), en donde el estado argentino llevó a cabo un relevamiento territorial con estándares internacionales de derechos humanos. Este caso demuestra que el Estado argentino reconoce que del cumplimiento de tales estándares depende el real y efectivo reconocimiento de los derechos indígenas reconocidos constitucionalmente y que son parte de los instrumentos internacionales de los que el país es signatario. En un contexto en el que las autoridades nacionales y provinciales de los países de la región se muestran reacias a determinar las tierras que los pueblos indígenas ocupan tradicionalmente y a garantizar la protección efectiva de sus derechos de propiedad y posesión, la experiencia de Alecrín constituye un antecedente de gran importancia.
