Summary, etc. Una minuciosa búsqueda documental permite a Bayer develar la trama de uno de los sucesos peor considerados de la historia argentina hasta la aparición de su obra: el movimiento reivindicativo, de inspiración anarco-sindicalista, que conmovió la región patagónica en 1920-21 y la represión militar que le puso fin. El autor reconstruye con precisión el marco político-social de los acontecimientos, el movimiento huelguístico y sus peculiaridades, los motivos por los cuales a la inicial actitud contemporizadora de los poderes públicos siguió la dura respuesta que causó alrededor de un millar y medio de víctimas entre los trabajadores del lejano sur argentino.
