Summary, etc. En quince breves lecciones, basadas en interesantes investigaciones, los autores se oponen categóricamente a las quejas antiguas y modernas y responden que el nivel educativo sube, pero no para todos, ni siempre por igual. Señalan la existencia de una separación profunda entre un grupo de cabeza (más numeroso que antes, en contacto con las corrientes innovadoras) y la masa de los restantes. Consideran que hay preocupación por los grupos de mayores posibilidades, pero que es mucho más urgente poder garantizar un mínimo nivel cultural a los más desfavorecidos.
