| Summary, etc. | Las piezas de Pacheco fijaron la estructura del sainete nacional, pues le imprimió rasgos definitivos y permanentes. En su teatro la nota graciosa alterna siempre con elementos dramáticos muy definidos que llevan la acción hacia un desenlace trágico. Un trasfondo de amargura, un fuerte determinismo, lo distingue de manera fundamental del sainete español y lo acerca al futuro "grotesco criollo", del que puede considerarse un valioso antecedente. |
