La segunda parte agrupa seis estudios sobre perfiles vitales para el conocimiento de la trama historiográfica de la época. Entidades, grupos representativos y corrientes se van sucediendo. Los años críticos del revisionismo marcan la aparición de una tendencia que al terminar la época comprendida en esta obra alcanzaría su apogeo y su punto conflictivo más alto con la Junta-Academia. --
