Summary, etc. Para el autor poesía es comunicación de un contenido ficticio -el imaginado por el poeta- a través de un lenguaje imaginario. Frente a la lengua establecida (analítica, genérica, conceptual), la poesía se distingue por ser sintética, concretísima, inividualizadora. Pero ¿cómo logra serlo y apresar en su encanto al lector? Pues mediante una serie de procedimientos retóricos que violentan o modifican de algún modo la lengua tópica de cada día. Se trata siempre, en ellos de sustituir la expresión gastada por otra sorprendente, nueva.<br/>Bousoño lo demuestra con infinidad de ejemplos y de comentarnos (su libro es, en gran parte iluminador comentario de textos poéticos). A la ley de sustitución ha de añadirse otra: la del asentimiento íntimo prestado por el autor y lector a lo expresado literariamente.
Expansion of summary note Todos estos procedimientos retóricos estudiados son característicos de la poesía contemporánea (compuesta desde el romanticismo). De un lado definen a esta revolucionaria época, con su actitud subjetiva e irracional. De otro, sirven para sorprender las preferencias, estilísticas de cada autor. En resumen, esta teoría orienta tanto sobre la estructura y función de la poesía como sobre nuestra época y sus poetas.
