| Summary, etc. | La escuela transformativa, en abierta oposición en muchos aspectos, con el estructuralismo, intenta elaborar una teoría lingüística bajo la forma de un modelo hipotético-deductivo, en el sentido que esta expresión tiene en la lógica y las matemáticas. Intenta asimismo reelaborar las nociones fundamentales de Descartes, Port Royal y Humboldt, constituyéndose, así, en continuadora de la gramática tradicional de las últimas centurias, olvidada por el historicismo comparativista. El interés de los transformativistas estuvo, durante años, circunscripto exclusivamente a la lengua inglesa. El presente volumen constituye el primer intento de reunir en un libro toda la gramática de una lengua. Abarca todas las facetas de nuestro idioma: no hay hecho de interés lingüístico que aquí no tenga cabida. |
