Summary, etc. El tango –género musical, poesía y danza oriunda de la región geográfica del Río de la Plata–, se ha movilizado desde comienzos del siglo XX por diversos medios hacia diferentes ciudades generando distintos resultados sonoros. Esta investigación musicológica construye históricamente una mirada sobre la producción, distribución, consumo y regulación musical en torno al fenómeno tango en la ciudad de Santa Fe (Argentina) entre los años 1920 y 1998. La construcción se realiza a partir de testimonios de músicos, productores y aficionados, registros sonoros y audiovisuales de agrupaciones de tango, partituras, documentos hemerográficos, contratos y programas de conciertos, entre otras fuentes. El relato histórico posee una fuerte impronta sociológica elaborada a partir de una crítica sobre las fuentes a la cual se le suman diferentes análisis de los elementos constitutivos de las performances musicales: partituras, puesta en escena, uso del cuerpo y grabaciones.
