| Summary, etc. | Esta obra, una de las más singulares y significativas de toda la literatura hispanoamericana, comenzó a publicarse el 2 de mayo de 1845 como folletín del diario El Progreso de Santiago de Chile. Al escribirla, su autor perseguía el propósito inmediato de entorpecer la labor del enviado diplomático del gobierno argentino, y desacreditar a Rosas y su sistema. |
