| Summary, etc. | Esta obra, subtitulada extravagancia política es la que más representa, entre las de Bernard Shaw, la idea siempre disconforme con la política del mundo. El autor afina con ella su dialéctica humorística al plantear el conflicto entre el rey Magnus y su primer ministro que, queriendo restringir el poder del monarca, lo amenaza con unas elecciones. El rey le responde que en tal caso renunciaría al trono y se presentaría como candidato opositor. Al final gana el rey y, en torno a ese triunfo, multiplica Shaw las paradojas y contrastes de un diálogo teatral, maestro y genial. |
