| Summary, etc. | La obra (1962), a través de la crónica de las doce horas de agonía de su protagonista, nos cuenta una vida al revés. Esas horas se describen mediante tres pronombres claves: yo, tú, él. El primero nos da el monólogo interior del moribundo, referido al presente; el segundo es utilizado para el subconsciente que indica al moribundo el futuro de sus pensamientos; el tercero es empleado por el novelista cuando describe a Artemio o las vidas que lo rodean en evocaciones pasadas. El puente entre estas tres fórmulas verbales está configurado en la persona del viejo que muere con el cuerpo podrido. |
