| Summary, etc. | Recrea una serie de acontecimientos históricos sucedidos en el año 1935, pero desde la visión de Hipólito, un niño huérfano de siete años, habitante de Plaza de Mercedes. En las elecciones de 1935, Hipólito se escurrirá en el cuarto oscuro de su pueblo para tratar de encontrar a su padre, que sabe radical, aunque lo que descubrirá será otra cosa: cómo la policía local obliga a votar por el partido conservador. La intervención de un joven abogado fiscal, obligará a repetir las elecciones quince días después, y la película acompañará entonces su campaña democrática, junto a los radicales, llamando a votar en paz y sin emular las prácticas fraudulentas de sus adversarios. Pero su prédica idealista se topará con el poder mafioso de los conservadores, y con la cultura de violencia de la política local, en la que los radicales no tardarán en caer. |
