Summary, etc. Reúne cinco conferencias dictadas por Michel Foucault en la Universidad Católica de Río de Janeiro en 1973, donde el filósofo desarrolla la noción de "prácticas de producción de verdad" en una interpretación que vincula indefectiblemente saber y poder. <br/> <br/>Parte de la crítica de Nietzsche a las supuestas certezas del conocimiento. Se propone mostrar de qué manera las prácticas sociales pueden generar dominios de saber que producen nuevos objetos, conceptos y técnicas y que, además, dan lugar a formas totalmente nuevas de subjetividad. Esto significa que no sólo el conocimiento es subjetivo, sino también la verdad misma cambian con el curso de la historia. <br/><br/>Foucault se ocupa en este libro de las prácticas judiciales, porque se trata del ámbito en el cual el análisis histórico puede detectar más claramente la emergencia de nuevas formas de subjetividad y de nuevas maneras de establecer verdad. <br/><br/>
