Conformación histórica del barrio Saladillo de Rosario, durante el período que se inicia en las últimas tres décadas del siglo XIX y concluye aproximadamente en 1940. La fundación de la Aldea Saladillo en 1873 y la inauguración de los Nuevos Mataderos Municipales en 1932 son los extremos de la periodización del rico proceso que configuró al Barrio Saladillo y a la Zona Sur de Rosario. Saladillo dejó de ser faubourg burgués para convertirse en un barrio obrero. Presentar el análisis de esa metamorfosis en toda su complejidad es el principal objetivo de este libro. |
