The first 21 chapters contain a text, Explanatory notes, a section entitled Concept and Expression, and a set of exercises. Chapter 22 differs slightly in the absense of a Concept and Expression section and the addition of revision exercises. There is also a Pronouncing vocabulary and key to the exercises. The chosen passages cover some of the most familiar topics of organic, inorganic and physical chemistry.
